Q2 FAL - here is my plan for Q2

2015 FAL at On the Windy Side

It's time to make my Q2 Finish Along list. I got to meet our host Adrianne, who blogs at On the Windy Side, in person at QuitCon and she is just so nice and fun to hang out with, so there is no way I would miss the FAL while she is the host.

For anyone new, the FAL is easy to join. Just make a list of some UFOs you want to finish and get out of the sewing room and link it up now. At the end of the quarter, you link up each project you actually do finish from your list. You get encouragement and each qualified finish is an entry into the random draws for prizes from lovely sponsors too.

Solids
Improv strips - in progress

For Q2 of this year, I am linking up only 3 projects, one per month. Despite the fact that this plan did not work so well for Q1 as I only finished one thing on my list, I am going to stick with this plan for Q2. So my first item is to finish the small guitar case with those colourful strips.

Ocean Waves - top

Second, I want to finish this winter Ocean Waves quilt. It is now quilted and just waiting for trimming and binding. I really love this pattern so there is no excuse not to finish it.

Courthouse steps with replacements

Third, I am going to finish the magenta and navy courthouse steps quilt. I have been dreaming of having a modernish, yet traditionalish, courthouse steps quilt for a long, long time and so maybe that will help me get this one done.

I am hoping that I can manage everything on this list, and that you will join in too - over at On the Windy Side with Adrianne.

Oh, and do visit Rhonda's new blog - Rhonda's Ramblings. Rhonda has teamed up with Adrianne to work on the Q2 FAL tutorials, and she is hoping that you will volunteer. A FAL tutorial is a great way to share your work and meet new quilters, and we all sure enjoy having them as part of the FAL. So please put your hand up to volunteer.

Best,

Leanne

  10. Those brights! And although I been moving away from traditional patterns--and making my own--I do like the look of the courthouse steps in those modern colors. Quilting that would be SO much fun!
