Bee Blocks

I actually made most of these blocks last Sunday, but it has taken me a while to show them off here. The first two are Gee's Bend inspired square in square blocks for Annabella in the Modern Stitching Bee.



I put these off until the end of the month. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed cutting curvy lines and sewing together blocks like these.



Marci sent fabrics to make Modern Maples blocks for Always Bee Learning.



These went together fast. Maybe it is a Canadian thing, but I sure want a quilt of these for me too.



Diane asked for these jewel tone and low volume plus blocks. There are no matching seams on these, they go together in no time at all.



I used charm squares from the last low volume swap I was in which made these even easier to make.

And this last set of string blocks was for Toni last month in Always Bee Learning. I need to remember to ask for these blocks in a bee one day as I love how they look but cannot see myself ever wanting to make a whole quilt of blocks. They are perfect bee blocks I think. 

I am so loving the fact that I am in just two bees - great bees with wonderful bee mates and one where we use our own fabric and one where we receive fabric in the mail. I think this is just the right balance for me each month.

I have been quilting tonight on the long arm, I hope to show off my progress tomorrow. But I wanted to get a post up tonight.
