The She Can Quilt Blogger Bundle at Fluffy Sheep Quilting

A couple of weeks ago, Cindy over at Fluffy Sheep Quilting asked me if I wanted to pick a Blogger Bundle of fabrics from her shop. Cindy is both my internet and real life friend - she is the best, and I only wish she did not live across the ocean on another continent from me. So, of course, I said I would love to.

Well, it was great fun to go through all the fabrics at Fluffy Sheep Quilting and try to decide what goes with what and then to narrow it down to a cohesive bundle. It's not as simple as it might seem, at least for me, especially since I have not seen most of these fabrics in person yet.

I started with some reds and blacks. Cindy and I emailed and discussed. She sent photos, then some pinks and greys found their way into the mix. We discussed by email and more fabrics were added. Eventually this fantastic bundle was born.

Later, Cindy told me that red and black were the colours of a number of upcoming the spring fabrics. I looked at my clothes that day and sure enough, I was wearing red and black. In fact, I often wear red and black, it is nice to accidentally be in style again.

As of today, this lovely bundle of 10 fat quarters is available for you to buy in Cindy's shop, just click here to find it. If you get one now, you will have it in time to make any number of lovely valentines projects.

Me, I am going to make some pillows - some of you would call them cushions - that I hope will be modern and interesting for all year round. And I might just have to make a valentine's project too, just because. Stay tuned, and I will share both what I make and a tutorial too. We can all have new pillows to brighten our spring.

One last look at the bundle, now I am wondering if there will be enough left over for a quilt too? Maybe yes, its a nice big bundle. It truly is fun to have a Blogger Bundle of fat quarters with my name on it, I hope you like it too.

Enjoy your Sunday. When I am not working on the design for  my pillows, I'll be doing more origami magic on all my sewing stuff to make an empty hole in my not very big sewing room that is 10 feet by 6 feet for that new long arm machine to live in once it arrives. I should have tracking information for it on Monday and then I will know what day the flatbed truck will show up at my door. I really can't wait.

Best,

Leanne

  2. Beautiful fabrics , great choice ! Gosh, my room is about half that size but my overflow (into Lisa's room, I need plenty of notice when she's coming home !) would fill another chunk, that's some serious magic you need to create, but what fun!!!!

  13. I laughed when you said you looked down at your clothes and you had on red and black. I didn't make it to church yesterday for a couple of reasons. Last Sunday I wore a red seater, a black skirt, and a black and white window pane jacket. I love the fabrics you chose. They are the epitome of Valentine's Day yet can be used any day of the year. You did a great job in picking a perfect bundle. Many of the fabrics are even gentleman friendly.

  16. My dress came with the poofyish part beneath so I didn't had to buy an extra petticoat. I wasn't sure of my shoes too and asked them to keep it long, and there is plenty of space to work with.
