March is over, time for spring.

March 2012

There are all the quilty things I made in March. No wonder it felt like I was sewing all the time.

Lily's Quilts

I am linking this to Lynne at Lily's Quilts Fresh Sewing Day. Do stop by and link up your March projects and visit everyone else. It is Lynne's Blog Birthday too, say congratulations to her, she is one of my constant sources of inspiration.

Quilts for Siblings Together

Oh, and you might also want to check out the group Lynne at Lily's Quilts with Laura at Needles, Pins and Baking Tins have put together to work on quilts for Siblings Together in the U.K. -  The flickr group is at this link. The outpouring of energy on that project just shows what quilters can do when they work together. I am going to send some blocks, maybe you can help too?

Liberated Shoo Flies - a sneak peak

And that is a sneaky peak of the project I am making for my tutorial for Rhonda at Quilter in the Gap's Finish-A-Long Tutorials. My tutorial will run on April 4, and there are several others running this week to check out too. I spent much of yesterday working on it and today I should be able to finish it off. It is about liberated / wonky piecing and how to make an emergency / last minute baby quilt - you know, when your darling spouse says "Gee, remember X, her baby is due in a couple of weeks and maybe we should give her a quilt?" (he did do that, last week!)

It is snowing wet, sticky snow this morning, in large amounts. Later today it will melt and the brown ooze will be everywhere. I am feeling very smug about putting off washing my car yesterday. However, we reached the spring solstice and now I have more daylight again. Today the sun was up at 7:06 a.m. and it will be setting at 8:11 p.m. - I love the longer days.

Best,

Leanne

Love it all - but the geese, the star in stars and shoo flies are particularly jumping out at me!

Looking forward to the tutorial - of course if you do it in two weeks next time you'll only get one week's warning!
